Position Overview:

The Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dynamic and versatile professional to fill the role of Membership Engagement Specialist. This position plays a crucial role in fostering member relationships, enhancing experiences, and implementing impactful programs to support the local business community.

Key Responsibilities:

Member Engagement:

• Act as the primary point of contact for Chamber members, addressing inquiries, and providing support.
• Develop and implement strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones.
• Organize member events, workshops, and networking opportunities to foster engagement and connections among members.
• Gather member feedback and insights to continuously improve member services and experiences.

Marketing and Communications:

• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the Chamber's services, events, and initiatives.
• Create engaging content for various platforms, including social media, website, newsletters, and press releases.
• Manage the Chamber's online presence, ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
• Monitor marketing analytics and performance metrics to optimize campaigns' effectiveness.

Programs Management:

• Oversee the planning, development, and execution of diverse programs and initiatives to benefit the local business community.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to design programs that address key industry challenges and opportunities.
• Manage program budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure successful outcomes.
• Evaluate program effectiveness through data analysis and participant feedback.

Event Coordination:

• Coordinate and manage chamber events, including conferences, seminars, and networking functions.
• Liaise with vendors, sponsors, and partners to ensure successful event planning and execution.
• Develop event marketing materials and promotional campaigns to drive attendance and participation.

Community Relations:

• Foster strong relationships with local businesses, government officials, media, and community organizations.
• Represent the Chamber at community events and actively participate in civic and economic development activities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in marketing, communications, member engagement, and programs management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in using various marketing and communication tools and platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and connect with diverse stakeholders.
• Understanding of the local business landscape and chamber of commerce operations is advantageous.
• Creative thinker with the ability to identify innovative solutions to address business needs.
