Part-Time Temporary - September to November 2026

$22/hour
Regular Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM

The Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and people-focused individual to join our team as Membership & Trade Show Support for the busy fall season.

This is a versatile, hands-on position supporting two important areas of the Chamber: helping us deliver exceptional experiences for our Trade Show vendors and supporting the continued growth and engagement of our membership.

What You'll Do

No two days at the Chamber are exactly the same! You'll work alongside our team to support a variety of activities, including:

• Building relationships with current and prospective Trade Show vendors
• Supporting vendor registration, communication, and event preparation
• Reaching out to prospective Chamber members and helping grow our business community
• Following up on outstanding Trade Show vendor and membership payments
• Providing on-site support during Chamber events
• Assisting with general administrative tasks and day-to-day office needs
• Jumping in wherever needed to help our small, collaborative team deliver great experiences for our members, vendors, and community

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

• Is friendly, confident, and comfortable communicating with businesses by phone and email
• Provides excellent customer service and enjoys building relationships
• Is organized and able to manage multiple priorities
• Is comfortable following up on invoices and outstanding payments
• Takes initiative and isn't afraid to jump in where needed
• Works well as part of a small, fast-paced team
• Is dependable and available for the required event dates and extended hours outlined below

Previous event, sales, membership, or customer-service experience would be an asset, but we're equally interested in finding someone with the right attitude, communication skills, and enthusiasm to learn.

Schedule & Event Availability

Regular hours for this temporary position are:

Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM

However, full availability during our Fall Trade Show and Winter Market is an essential requirement of this position.

The successful candidate must be available to work full-time/extended program hours during the week leading up to and throughout:

Fall Trade Show
September 25–27, 2026

Winter Market
November 27–29, 2026

These are among the Chamber's busiest and most exciting weekends of the year, and this position will play an important role in helping our team deliver both events successfully.

Term

This is a temporary position running September through November 2026.

And if it's a great fit, we'd love to explore having you join us again to support our Spring Trade Show, April 23 to 25, 2027!
