
Nick Sanders, President
Nick Sanders moved to Fort McMurray in 2006 and is currently the Director, Human Resources with the Fort McMurray Catholic Schools. He worked in transportation for about 25 years in various capacities at a Corporate level, in Operations, New Business development, Risk Management and Human Resources. His other activities include Chair of MacDonald Island Park Corporation. He, his wife Marina and their son Jared are enjoying all that this great community has to offer!

Jon Tupper, Past President
A native Albertan, Jon Tupper moved to Fort McMurray from Edmonton in 1997. And since has had a career spanning from aviation to public affairs. A tireless volunteer, Tupper has worked with Communities in Bloom, Leadership Wood Buffalo, and a variety of political organizations. Jon was elected Director of the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce in 2007, and President in 2010. Jon also serves as Chair of the Fort McMurray Public Library’s Board of Trustees.
Ted Doleman, 1st Vice President Ted Doleman is currently employed at CNRL.
Ted has held senior operations and maintenance roles with Suncor and Petro-Canada. He has spent the last six years as Utilities and Energy Manager Energy for Shell-Albian Sands. Prior to his experience in the Oil Sands, Ted held plant management, mechanical head and supervisory roles with Manitoba Hydro and Ontario Hydro. Ted has completed both his bachelor and master degrees in mechanical engineering from Queen’s University.

John Evans,2nd Vice President
John Evans is President and General Manager for UBS Canada, a supplier of Specialized Access and Hoisting Services here in Fort McMurray.
John hails from Halifax, Nova Scotia and is now proud to call Fort McMurray home for himself, his wife Denise, and 2 of their sons, Liam and Kristopher.
John actively contributes to a number of local foundations including the United Way, Boys and Girls Club, Keyano College Athletics, and Careers-The Next Generation.
Bryce Kumka, Director
Bryce Kumka is the Senior Account Executive for Commercial Insurance for Rogers Insurance North. Kumka is an active member of the Rotary Club of Fort McMurray and has held an executive position for the past two years. He is the Rotary delegate responsible for the 868 RCACS Rotary Northstar Squadron of the Canadian Air Cadets. He is also an Active Volunteer Ski Patroller at Vista Ridge with the Canadian Ski Patrol. Bryce and his Wife Lee-Anne have a lovely daughter.

Mike Durocher, Director
Michael Durocher came to Fort McMurray in 1997 after a successful career operating his businesses in Edmonton and Calgary. Active in the community, Michael brings a well balanced perspective to the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce combining the education, community and business sectors all in one. Michael is serving his second term as Director with the Chamber of Commerce.

Howard Heffernan, Director
Howard Heffernan is a Professional Engineer registered in Alberta and Saskatchewan. He worked in various technical and management positions in the oil industry for 34 years in North Africa, the Middle East, South-East Asia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. In 2000, he joined a family business as VP of Universal Aviation Services Corp. Howard has served 12 years as Director of the Fort McMurray Chamber. He and his wife of 43 years (Diane) have 5 children and 11 grandchildren.

Bryan Lutes, Director
Bryan Lutes is the President of Wood Buffalo Housing & Development Corporation. Bryan is also the President of the regional chapter of the Urban Development Institute (UDI) an organization that deals with issues around building and land development. Bryan brings his career experience in the construction and development industries to the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce board table. He is also a member of the Rotary Club.

Suzanne Manning, Director
Suzanne E. Manning is a lawyer at Flett, Manning, Moore Law Office where she primarily practices law in the areas of corporate/commercial, real estate and wills and estates. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Manitoba. Suzanne currently serves as a Director on the Northern Lights Health Foundation and was elected to the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce in 2011. Born and raised in Fort McMurray, Suzanne is passionate about community participation and the opportunities for regional development.

Cindy Amerongen , Director
Cindy Amerongen is the Vice President, External Relations for Keyano College and the Keyano College Foundation. Her role ensures the integration and coordination of External Relations and College activities in support of the College's reputation building, relationship development and fundraising objectives. Cindy has been with Keyano College for over 20 years and has served in a variety of leadership positions. She is an active member of the Community Futures Wood Buffalo Board of Directors. She holds professional standing as a Certified Fund Raising Professional (CFRE), and a Certified Professional Programmer (CPP). In 2011 Cindy was awarded an International Leadership Award from the Chairs Academy for Leadership.

Ben Dutton is the CEO of the Casman Group of Companies, and also serves as Vice
President of the United Way of Fort McMurray. Prior to moving to Fort McMurray in April 2011, Ben developed large scale commercial and residential real estate projects in Phoenix Arizona. Ben and his wife Brandy have an 8 year old son, Alist.
Sandra moved to Fort McMurray in 2009 and managed the first Aboriginal Business Incubator in Canada. She currently serves as Project Services Manager for Saipem Canada. Sandra’s background in marketing communications, project management and stakeholder relations built government/industry programs such as Work Safe Alberta, Alberta Passport to Safety and the Alberta Apprenticeship Scholarships. As National Director, Aboriginal Human Resource Council, Sandra facilitated participation in trades and apprenticeship across Canada. She has received awards for her work, including the Premier’s Award of Excellence and Federal Government Excellence Award.
